When I right click and open a page in a new tab, firefox immediately displays the tab to the right of the one I am using, even if this is not the one I have just opened. "Switch to it (new tab) immediately" is switched off, as I would like it to be.

When I right click to open a new tab, firefox immediately displays the tab to the right of the one I had been using. This happens whether or not the next tab is the one I have just opened or not. I would like firefox to continue to display the page I am currently on. "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is not selected. It's getting kind of annoying.

You can start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks for your reply; I'm in safe mode now and not having the problem. I figured it must be because of an add-on but don't know how to figure out which one. I guess I'll just disable all of them until I need one and then see what happens!  :-)
