Thunderbird Lagging After Windows Update
Yesterday morning (12/14/22), Windows 10 did an update. Afterwards, I noticed Thunderbird began periodically lagging. I first noticed it when typing a message. I would be typing but the characters were not showing up on the screen, then after a moment or two, they would rapidly appear and catch up. It would be fine for another couple seconds of typing and then happen again. I have also noticed it is slow to respond just selecting messages, when switching windows from one program to Thunderbird, and when doing something like changing the size of a pasted image in the Image Properties dialog box.
It is getting so bad as to be nearly unusable.
I have seen other posts on the forum about lagging when typing, but not necessarily the other overall lags and none mentioning the association with a Windows update. Has anyone else noticed this following the recent update?
I am running Thunderbird 102.6.0 (32-bit) and it is up to date.
Thanks for any assistance!

Evidently I am the only person on Earth who experienced this problem. Fortunately, it seems to have cleared itself up on its own yesterday. Thanks for nothing everyone!

So no, you're NOT the only one. Here one too.... :-(
Perhaps I should just wait, untill Thunderbird restores iitself... (?) I guess that might happen if some sort of databe is corrupted and gets 'automatically' restored....
Anyone with suggestions of what I might do to speed up that process?
Thanking you in advance.
I'm on Windows 8.1 (with no regular updates... but this week I saw one.... Had to wait a long time...)
The problem seems to influence my OpenOffice too.... (if Thunderbird is active, Writer is also slow...)
