TB has worked well for some time, worked yesterday. Now, this morning, I can send an email to a single address but I cannot send an email to a previously established Group of email addresses. This has worked in the past, now, suddenly, it does not work. The message is:

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) Smtp.aol.com for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

I have confirmed the outgoing server settings, all good, nothing has changed.

Any help appreciated.

This works. I put my email in the To box and the Group in the BCC box and the email was sent. Thank you.

What are your settings? They should be: smtp.aol.com on 465, SSL/TLS, OAuth2 authentication, User Name = email address.

Yes, those are my settings. And I tried ports 25 and 587 - did not work. I still have problem.

What is the antivirus, and its settings for TB? Does your outgoing mail have a signature? Are you sending Bcc to the list, and if so, do you have your address in the To: box?

What is the antivirus, and its settings for TB? (I do not have a separate antivirus, I use Defender.) Does your outgoing mail have a signature? (No) Are you sending Bcc to the list, and if so, do you have your address in the To: box? (I sent the Group to BCC and my address is not in the Group. I have also just discovered that it's only the BCC that gives me the error message. If I send the Group to "To:", it works.)

Try to put your own email address in the To: box.

I think the issue here is what appears to be a Yahoo policy of not allowing BCC mail that does not also have a valid To: address.

Remember folks your mail is controlled by Yahoo, despite AOL and even some Verizon branding.
