Firefox updates break pinned Taskbar icon
I have had a recurring problem with Firefox ever since the first release of Firefox "Quantum". I am running it on Windows 10, and keep Firefox pinned to my Taskbar. But every time Firefox auto-updates itself, the Taskbar icon is broken, showing a blank white rectangle instead of the Firefox logo.
Sometimes, the icon continues to work (clicking on it, opens Firefox, hovering the mouse pointer shows tab previews), while other times the icon is completely invalidated and won't do anything (clicking gives a Windows error that the item the shortcut points to does not exist).
In either case, if I want to fix the icon, I have to right-click and unpin it, then locate Firefox in the Start Menu and re-pin to taskbar.
So, why does Firefox Quantum do this? Previous releases of Firefox never had any problem being pinned to the Taskbar.

Hi, try reinstalling Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
You do not need to uninstall your existing version first.
(All you data such as bookmarks should not be affected as they are stored in a different location).
