Dear all, I have synced my address book with iCloud, and the MacOS address book was activated in Thunderbird, too. At some point, TB showed a "ghost" entry in the MacOS address book. That entry had been deleted long ago in iCloud, i.e. it was not actually in the "real" Mac OS address book. In other words, the TB-view of the Mac OS address book was not in sync with the real address book on Mac.

I could not find a way to get both back in sync, so I deleted the MacOS Adress Book from TB, in order to add it back later, which should re-fresh all entries and get rid of the "ghost" entry that was only seen in TB.

The problem is now, I cannot find a way to add the MacOS address book back to TB. I have "Personal Adress Book" and "Collected Addresses" left, and there is no menu option to re-connect TB with my MacOS address book or the iCloud.

Hence my questions: 1. How can I get the Mac OS address Book back into Thunderbird? 2. How is it possible that "MacOS address book" in Thunderbird shows different entries than the actual address book on Mac / iCloud?

Appreciate Your help!

Found solution to Question 1: Re-activating the Mac OS X Adress book was possible by + opening Address Book (that window must be active) + from there, in the Menu: [File] -> [Use Mac OS X Address Book] can be activated

Now, the address book is back and fortunately, the "ghost" entry is gone, too.

There seems to be a bug in TB which keeps some entries "sticky" in TB, even when they are removed from the OS X Address Book.

It seems to affect contact groups when they are renamed, but I cannot reproduce this effect at this time...
