I follow the directions to find the profile and expect to see a lot of emails. Is there only one text document with everything stuffed in? I find profiles, go to folder k9hoopd4.default,(has date of 12/2, so seems right) click mail, local folder and see

Thunderbird stores nothing in the profile folder that can be considered suitable you user interactions. Most certainly not email.

So regardless of your expectations it will not be appearing there.

You do however appear to have a lot of mails in the unsent folder. That is normally empty unless you send mail while Thunderbird is offline.

Is there a way to archive the mail so that it can be saved elsewhere and reopened without overwriting a later profile or however this works?
