SOME links won't open. They open in explorer. They won't open in FF safe mode, or after re-start. I checked add-on manager: I don't have any ext. of this type

I have had two links that won't open in webpages in FF. One was a MD government page, one was a private school webpage. They wouldn't open in safe mode. They won't open after a re-start. I have not un/re-installed or cleared cache/cookies. Most other links will open, and even the two lonks that won't open WILL open in explorer. I checked the add-on manager and it says I don't have any add-ons of this type installed. I do not understand add ons, but I read the FF update about extensions. I am not techie and do not understand enough to make sense of the self-help articles.

If this is the case, open the shortcut Properties and copy the link.
