The attachment is a .VCF file. The message header shows the paperclip icon, but when the message is opened the attachment is not there. After closing the paperclip icon is gone. This does not happen with other types of attachments. My attacments options is to ask everytime where to download.

So the attachment is a vCard.

SO vCard attachments as not handled as attachments as such. At the end of the email you will see a picture of the person or a grey outline of the persons head with a name beside it. Clicking the picture/ Name opens a set of dialog boxes that display the contents of the vCard.
