How do I get rid of Pocket in Firefox 57? It won't take no for an answer.
The question was asked before re Firefox 54. Now we have 57 and I have tried to delete Pocket and it won't go away. I don't like it because it's 'too helpful' -- I don't want to be confronted with Big Media's headlines every day, and I don't need Pocket, don't want it taking over my computer. Firefox already has a bookmark app so why do we need two? I don't even really need one, but I don't mind the star, but not the arrow representing Pocket. I hate it. I like simple, and I like to choose my own interests and Big Media Propaganda is not an interest of mine other than I try to avoid it. I have windows 7 Pro and 10 for Outlook.

Hello, you can remove the stuff you don't want to see on the new tab page by clicking the cog wheel and unchecking what you don't want to see.
To remove Pocket from the Address Bar:
Right click on the Pocket Icon >> Click on Remove from Address Bar.
To remove Pocket entirely:
- Head on over to about:config by typing it in your URL bar.
- Ignore the warnings about warranty there is no warranty and promise to be careful.
- Using the search box on the page, search for: extensions.pocket.enabled -- double click it to set it to false.
