I have esr 52.2.1 and it says I am currently n the esr update channel. I've been reading about various issues that further updates on this channel. I would like to know if the current update has fixed them.

PLEASE do not suggest I change to whatever the newest 'regular' version of FF is. I don't want to because lazarus doesn't work on any versions past 52. Lazarus is a must have and, like so many others, I haven't found anything that works anywhere near as well.

I just want to know what other issues I'm risking if I update to the latest version of 52 esr AND to be sure that the title of this question means that when I click update, it will actually update to the latest esr version and NOT the latests 'regular' version of FF.

Thank you!

Updates to Firefox ESR (e.g., 52.2.1esr to 52.4.1esr) are usually very minor, but sometimes security fixes do create issues with specific sites or add-ons. I think it is difficult to predict the impact on any individual Firefox configuration because they can be so different.

I do think your update will stay within the ESR channel.

If you update Firefox then you always stay on the same update channel. The only way to switch the update channel is to install the full version of another update channel.
