Are you using the Firefox version from the repositories of your Ubuntu Linux distribution or the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server?

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.

more options

You shouldn't need to use the Terminal to find your crash reports but rather dive into your file manager (Nautilus by default in Ubuntu) and go to your home directory and enable hidden files by pressing Ctrl + H. Go to .mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Copy / paste the first 5 crash reports with bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx,txt (x being alphanumberic characters) into a reply here.
