When I view the E-Mail screen in Thunderbird my scroll bars are not easy to see. The scroll bars separating the folder and text windows etc are in a bland colour of grey. Very confusing.

Install the Stylish add-on in TB, then create a new style using the code given here. This changes just the colour (see picture), but if you want to change the button, background and hover colours, as well as the sizes, there is a script by vasa1 here.

There is also an add-on that offers a variety of scrollbar styles:
