A long time ago it was the case that if you dragged a folder to a new place on the folders pane you were asked to confirm that you wanted to do this. This feature went away. Since then I have on several occasions accidentally dragged one folder into another. It is very hard to locate the folder when this happens (I have more than a hundred folders). Can we get at least the option of having this feature back?

I have been using add-ons to provide such features. So I can't be entirely sure what Thunderbird's native action is when the user attemps to move a folder. Can you check if you have had any add-ons set up to create such a warning, and if so, have they become disabled?

I think that moving a folder is a high-cost and potentially complex action, particularly if the folder in question is being moved from one account to another. I think the mail client should challenge such an action.
