Hi Svolash, let's check two things:

(1) Did Firefox find two Flash plugins, one current and one old? (2) Is Flash set for automatic activation (all sites can use without further permission) or site-by-site activation?

For #1, please type or paste about:plugins into the address bar and press Enter to load it. Then you can use Find (Ctrl+f) for npswf to jump to the first Flash plugin and see whether it is the current version. Try find again a few times to make sure Firefox is not finding an older one as well. If you do find an older one, we can describe options for removing it.

For #2, you can open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Then on the right side look for "Shockwave Flash" and check its default permission:

  • "Always Activate" - unless you later specify otherwise, sites can use Flash automatically without specific permission
  • "Ask to Activate" - unless you make a site-specific exception, Firefox pauses on running Flash content and displays a notification icon in the address bar you an use to allow it if the content looks relevant

Can you set that to the behavior you prefer?

Either the Flash installer didn't successfully update the plugin, or Firefox didn't detect the new version. Have you exited Firefox and started it up again since the update?

You probably know this but, just in case, there are separate downloads to update the plugin for Firefox and the ActiveX control for IE. You can select the target operating system and browser from this page to be sure: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
