I'm using an Amazon Fire 7" tablet. I have been able to download, install and use a Chrome browser on an Amazon HD 6" tablet (gen 4). I prefer to use Firefox. Is a there anything I need to know before I trying this?

Hi lbaileyh99

Here's what you need to know:

  1. Since Amazon wants to change Firefox in ways that we can't accept, Firefox is not available for download in the Amazon App store and Mozilla therefore doesn't officially support Firefox on the Kindle Fire
  2. Instead of using Amazon's app store, you have to download it directly from Mozilla. You can download it from here:

Finally since we don't officially support Amazon tablets and I don't have a Kindle Fire, I've never tried it but others report that it works quite well. Cheers!

The Release and Beta channel builds do not get updates in manual install as to why the Aurora aka developer edition channel builds is suggested as per above.
