This doesn't happen very frequently but every now and then when viewing any type of image, it will sometimes load distorted halfway through the image, and always being very bright or a different color on the bottom of the image. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it either. I've included a screenshot of an image with this problem. The image itself, when downloaded is fine. Seems to only appear this way in browser.

I'm using windows 10, my graphics card drivers are up to date and hardware acceleration in Firefox is disabled.

Any help towards a solution to this problem is greatly appreciated!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

What security software do you have?

It is possible that Anti-Virus software is causing problems. Try to disable Anti-Virus software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
