I have Windows 8.1 and a touchscreen monitor that, until recently, I could simply touch a link to access it, but now I must double touch or use the mouse to click on it. All of my apps as well as the links on the browser still respond to touch, just not the tab contents.

HI RandyE, Thank you for your question. There was a stop to the metro version of Firefox however in order to further investigate, can you please see if this is still happening in Safe Mode:

In Safe Mode it works as it should.

Is there a permanent solution to this issue?

Hi RandyE., Apologies for the delay, since it works as normal in Safe Mode there is an issue with one of the add ons or hardware acceleration. In order to find out which one, it would be necessary to disable each one at a time.

Resetting Firefox would remove all of them and put Firefox to default as an alternative. However this will lose any customized configurations or addons.
