I have used Thunderbird for quite some time and have never run into this problem before. It also seems to occur sporadically... Thunderbird is not receiving emails from either of my Gmail accounts. I have two Hotmail (one IMAP and one POP3) account that consistently receive emails on Thunderbird, but my two Gmail accounts no longer do. Both of my Gmail accounts are setup on IMAP. I have an app on my phone that gets these emails as well and consistently receives all of them (I've tested this on POP3 and IMAP) so I don't believe its an issue with Google. Sometimes however, I will get a flood of emails from the past week that Thunderbird hasn't been receiving them, but this occurs rarely. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I really dislike Outlook and don't want to change email clients.

Thanks in advance, Matt Lefebvre

does pressing Shift+F5 prompt a download of missing mail? If so. Tools menu > account settings > server settings >advanced and check the "when getting mail check this server" box

No unfortunately it does not.

Gmail has changed it's policy and now requires 0Auth, unless you allow access for "less secure apps"...

Go to your Gmail, Click on your profile picture and then click on Account. Now go to the Security tab and change the setting for Access for less secure apps to enable access.
