On my Macbook Pro and Firefox 31.0 , Bing crashes, rolling a grey shade down my screen, forcing me to execute a complete shutdown (no other option) and restart. Also tried Firefox in safe mode with no success. So far this has only occurred with Bing and no other link. Firefox on my PC runs Bing without any problems.

Ay suggestions would be helpful prior to reinstalling...

Thanks

HI equinox14, Thank you for trying Firefox Safe Mode and I am sorry to hear just the one site is not working.

Have you also tried to disable all plugins/ extensions to see if one of these is causing the issue? Do you have a firewall or antivirus that may be blocking traffic from bing?

Also, are there any crash reports that have been submitted? In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box. (Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the ID's. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like)

Thank you for the suggestion. Safe mode did not help. When 32.0.1 updated Bing worked for a short period of time. Problem reappeared. Annoying that it only causes a restart of my computer with FFox. (Safari and Chrome work well with Bing.)

Thank you for the suggestion. Surprisingly there are no current bp files in the crash report. Will try plugin suggestion. Appreciated.

Thus far resetting Firefox has cleared the problem with bing for now. (fingers crossed) Everything seems to be working as expected. Thanks to all those who offered suggestions. Appreciated the support.
