How do I put the new tab + sign back next to the tabs where it's easiest to use?

Since the new version was installed on my desktop yesterday, the + sign (which used to be next to the tab) is now on the far top right of the toolbars section. It was far easier to use the + sign when it was next to the tabs. Please tell me how to get this put back next to the tabs.

I tried your fix... going to customize and dragging the + sign into the box, etc. but it didn't work more me. Any other ways to do it?

Managed to sort it out myself - by accident! Just right click in toolbars section, choose customize, drag + sign down into box. Close customize. Open customize again and the + appears as a small tab in the box. Click on this and drag up to the tabs and hey presto! The + tab is next to the tabs instead of its rediculous place to the far right.
