Checking my plug ins there is a list of plugs that are not active. How do I find out if I should turn them on or not? Clicked on research no help?
When I checked the plug ins there are some that are not active. How do I know which ones to make active? When I clicked on research it just took me to a google search with a lot of different site to go to. Is there a way or a place to find out which ones should be activated? When I go to a site general don't understand what they are talking about. There were some that I thought I should activate, but don't want to do that with out checking. Last time I did something with out checking had lots and lots of problems. (some REALLY GREAT PEOPLE on this site helped me get things working again) Want to avoid that situation if possible. Thanks

You need to go to add-ons, and when it opens up, there are a list of things to the side, and then click extensions.
In terms of plugins, the only plugin you may need enabled is the Adobe Flash plugin. With extensions, its your choice.
See this for the reason why some plugins are disabled or outright blocked by Mozilla.

Hello maxguy8
Shockwave Flash 11.8 r800 = is the Adobe Flash plugin, as Waka_Flocka_Flame said in his reply, very useful for viewing of expressive applications, content, and videos across screens and browsers.
Next Generation Java Plug-in 10.25.2 for Mozilla browsers = heedful for lots of applications and websites that will not work unless you have Java installed. I think useful, like Flash above, also.
NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy = Java Deployment Toolkit = you do not need the Java Deployment Toolkit extension, is basically for developers. DE-activated
The QuickTime Plugin allows you to view a wide variety of multimedia content in Web pages. For more information, visit the QuickTime Web site. = helps to see video in some forms, but you have Adobe Flash above, you are ok. You can also DE-activated.
5.1.20513.0 = Microsoft Silverlight = also same as Adobe Flash above, for video etc. from Microsoft. You can also DE-activated.
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.03 = Adobe Acrobat free version = is for viewing pdf in firefox, not useful because firefox have a build-in pdf viewer ready. You can also DE-activated.

Adobe Acrobat Plug-In Version 5.10 for Netscape = from Adobe = The Adobeᆴ Acrobatᆴ 5.0.10 plug-in update is available. The update fixes a vulnerability in the full version of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 software that has the potential to execute arbitrary code from a malicious PDF document. Users of the free Adobe Acrobat Readerᆴ software are encouraged to update to Adobe Reader 6.0, which does not have this vulnerability. While no known virus has demonstrated this vulnerability, Adobe always encourages users to keep their systems up to date. = You can DE-activated, no needful.
LogMeIn, Inc. Remote Access Components & npDisplayEngine & Citrix Online App Detector Plugin = i don't known !
of course if you deactivate a plugin and you think is needful another time you can activate again, and update to latest.
