Hello all, as far as I know I didn't install the Google Toolbar, however when I go to open a new tab now I have the thumbnails instead of my home page. I hate this, and so in researching I found that this is part of the Google Toolbar, I also found that the GTB doesn't work with FF past version 5, I have version 13.0.1.

I believe some other install had a small check box adding the toolbar on like a stow away.

My problem is I do not have an option anywhere to get to the GTB, I do not have that little wrench they talk about, no option under View Toolbars, it does not appear in extensions or add-ons! Only the annoying thumbnails on my new tabs - Oy!

Any suggestions for disabling this 'stow away'?

Much thanks

That is a new feature in Firefox 13 - the New Tab Page.

Yea! Success at last..... that was it. I had to change the config to show my 'home' page.

Thanks a bunch!

Be aware that if you set the new tab page to a web page then you end up with the focus set to the location bar.
It works with the build-in about:home page, but not with web pages like the Google search page (www.google.com)

Not sure I follow you, but the I-beam is in the search box of "Search Results.com" and not up in the location box.

Are you saying that if I want to have Google search as my 'home page' I should use the URL proper instead of about:home, where 'home' is the Google URL?

If it works for you with your new tab page setting then there is nothing to worry about.
