In Firefox 9.01 and 10, I can't find any option to close a window.
There used to be a Close Window option under File. I don't see that option any more or any other way to close an individual window.
Chosen solution
- ALT+F to open the File options on the Menu Bar
- Press the ALT key or the F10 key to temporarily show the Menu Bar, File > Close Window
- see --> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 (second item under "Table of Contents")
- CTRL+SHIFT+W will close the selected window

Hi RandyGibbons,
You can close an individual window by clicking on the red X in the upper right hand corner. You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl + Shift + W
- Alt + F4
Hopefully this helps!
