"Never remember history" still allows "recently closed tabs"
I'm use permanent private browsing (i.e., selected "Never remember history" with "always use private browsing mode" selected (and "accept cookies from sites")), and yet under the 'History' tab 'Recently Closed Tabs' is still a viable option that shows where I have been.
Granted this is only prior to me closing Firefox, but what I want is for closed tabs to no longer be registered or in my recent history. I've tried it with no add-ons (in case they were interfering) but same problem.
In case that isn't clear, here's an example: 2 tabs open, one of which is Google. I search Google for XYZ. Get my results, close the tab. At this point I have one tab open and when I look at "History" the option "Recently closed tabs" will show 'Google: XYZ.' I don't want that at any time. I don't care where I've been, and don't want to have to close/restart Firefox (or go through multilayers of choices to 'clear current history') to clear this information.
Any way to achieve this? I'm using Firefox 8.0.1 on Windows 7 (starter).
Thanks in advance for your insights.
