My wife and I have are long-time Firefox users - 7 or 8 years, maybe more. We've loved using it over the years. Our ISP is Comcast (XFinity) -- always has been. Just recently we've had trouble loading Comcast to get our email.

A Comcast rep suggested this morning that we try another browser - we tried Internet Explorer. It ran great. Are you aware of any Comcast issues? Does this mean that we won't be able to keep our relationship with Firefox? We're running Firefox 6.0.

Xfinity Connect Lite works fin in Firefox 6.0. Comcast need to fix their problems with the regular version of Connect.

Open Connect Preferences in IE and switch it to the Connect Lite version. (See the screenshot below.)

Then sign in with Firefox.

Seems to be yet another FF6 bug.

I suggest you go back to a stable release of FF, say, the last 3.x version, and turn off automatic updates, as long as Mozilla is in a rush-to-release mode.

They're releasing more bugs than fixing, it seems, and we should all avoid the updates until this changes.

RonQ, Please stop spreading your lies as in this case it was due to the site and not due to Firefox version. And besides the-edmeister confirms it works in Firefox 6.0

I have this ISP vs browser issue too .. It seems Brighthouse networks preferred browser is IE & FF clearly suffers with Brighhouse the offset is the usage is unlimited.. I use my laptop too much to go with any ISP that is not unlimited usage although would prefer the ATT laptop connect card if it were unlimited use..

@DLWalkerJr.... Well let me say this yesterday I downloaded FF7 and obviously held my old breathe & prayed considering all the complaining I did about 4/5/6.. FF7 was worth the praying & other than the fact that I lost a couple of Add-Ons for the time being (not an issue) I can work around them but I will tell you 7 is like the FF I remember.. No hanging, no slow loads & I work with about 5, 6 sometimes 7 tabs open & I'm on the laptop about 12hrs a day without dumping the temp files or clearing any cache which used to be an hourly ritual for me.. I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I truly suggest you try 7 & see the difference..

If I put my former systems hat on I can tell you sometimes big corp's like the one I worked for have routine scheduled outages when they bring the system down to put in patches & upgrade systems, applications etc. & this could be what Mozilla did with FF.. I'm sure the different groups & programmers that worked on 4/5/6 were listening & recording all of the issues with those browser updates looking towards the release of 7 knowing it was on the drawing board & did the repairs, fixes & 7 release all at once; saves time, money & resources.. In the world of systems & operations it makes sense..

Try 7 !! I'm happy & the loss of the Add-Ons as I said not an issue they'll get there.. I'm not easy to please when it comes to this I'm old & cranky & when I hit enter I don't want any slack..
