Issue 1. When I work on my blog and make changes I must delete the browser history every time before I refresh the page, otherwise FFox keep on giving me the previous page when I refresh the page.

Issue 2. When I want to close a tab, the tab present me not with the small closing x and I must right click and choose "Close Tab" to close a tab.

Issue 3. When I right click to save a bookmark there is no option to bookmark a specific tag. Only an option to "Bookmark All Tabs".

This issues only appear on your latest v4. How do I revert back to my previous version?

Regards,

Rudolf Pienaar

To revert to the previous secure version which is 3.6.16, do the following.

  • Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
  • Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
  • Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.

As regards the issues you mentioned, try updating Java via Windows Control Panel | Java | Update Now. You appear to be running a very old version at the moment and that might be the cause of the problem.

You could also try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode in case an add-on is the culprit.

You can reload a web page and bypass the cache with:

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

  • "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
  • "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
  • "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
