All of a sudden, without any warning Firefox keeps loading with some default Firefox tabs - as if I just installed FF for the first time. I go into Tools>Options and change setting to my old settings (i.e. Start page being Google, no save passwords, etc.). I close the browser and restart it but it loads with all the default Firefox settings like it's a new installation - none of the settings are saved. I re-installed but same thing is happening. Any idea why this is happening all of a sudden? Nothing was changed in my system, FF just started freaking out.

Thanks for linked document but I find it funny and someone rude that the article assumes that EVERYONE knows the lingo used - i.e. Profile Folder is in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\" . Where the hell is that???? Jesus, it's much easier to switch to Chrome.
