Verification code does not arrive within 5 minutes

Dear Sir,

I have my firefox username and password. However, whenever I try to sign in nowadays, I am asked to enter a verification code that is sent to my email address within five minutes. The email does arrive, but never withing 5 minutes. I have tried it many times on different devices. It may be my email issue. However, I cannot change the email account unless I cannot log it. Since I cannot receive the verification code within 5 minutes, I am unable to change any of my personal details.

Please advise.

P.S. It was very difficult gettting to this support page. I was asked to log in and verify before continuing for some of the support pages. But like I mentioned, I am unable to receive the verification code within 5 minutes. So I am thankful for this page.

I called for an administrator.

What is it you are trying to log into? Did you select 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)? Have you tried to turn this off?

2FA is not activated on my account. I cannot turn anything on or off because I am asked for a verification code before I can do anything. And I do not receive the verification code.

Have you tried using that code, as it should be valid for much longer (20 minutes)  ?

I found out finally that the Mozilla site was on the email Grey list on my email server. As this was not my email client, I had to get technical support from my email server host to stop the grey listing function. I was then able to get the verification code in time and log into my Firefox sync account. Could there be other methods for verification?
