Did not connect: potential security risk
Here's the thing...........got a new Dell laptop with Win 10 installed. Dowloaded and installed Firefox and was able to browse and download from any site I requested. The problems arise when I created an account for my wife.Once I opened Firefox from her account and tried to open a site I receive the error: "Did not connect: potential security risk". Grateful for any help.

Hi, can you find an "Advanced" button on that page? If you click that, Firefox should list additional technical information. In particular, there should be an error code in ALL_CAPS that may lead to a solution here: How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites.
Can you track it down? If not, what error code are you getting?
You can check the connection settings.
- Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":
Thank you both for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, neither of the two replies have moved me any closer to a resolution.
What is mystifying is Firefox works perfectly on my account, when we move to my wife's account is when the problems start. I have made sure settings are identical on both accounts. This is weird! Thanks
Sometimes this can happen if you connect via a secure HTTPS connection, but the server doesn't have a certificate installed and only works via HTTP. So you can try to access this website via http://
Also, what is the text of the error page and do you get a specific error code?
Thanks all for your replies. I have limited time to spend getting this laptop up and running, so have decided to can Firefox and use Chrome. I'll revisit Firefox later when time allows as I would prefer to use Firefox
