Thunderbird 68.4.1 crashes @ nsImapUrl::UnescapeSlashes when connecting to UK2 accounts on both Windows 10 and MacOS - does anyone else have this and a fix ?
Ive been running Thunderbird on Windows 10 and MacOS to the same UK2 email accounts, I upgraded my Windows 10 Thunderbird version to Thunderbird 68.x.x, and as soon as the client tried to connect for email to UK2 Thunderbird crashed. I tested it on my MacOS everything was fine, but then upgraded Thunderbird on MacOS to latest, and again as soon as the client tried to connect to email to UK2 Thunderbird crashed. I connected UK2 to check my UK2 accounts (a number of them) and they are all OK, and using a different email client I can still connect with no issue. I have also tried a new computer today with Thunderbird 68.4.1 on Windows 10 - Thunderbird will load fine, allow me to configure an account, but as soon as the new account tries to connect and download email from my UK2 email accounts, THunderbird crashes.
Has anyone else had this issue, and found a fix at all please

I find it truly amazing how many folks post about crashes, but do not include the links to the reported crashes so that their specific crash can be found and looked at.

Matt, as I am a new member to this forum, I would like to thank you so much for your response to my post
Im truely amazed that someone took the time to advise me that I also needed to post a specfic crash report with my post to help people help me with my issue.
As I new member and 1st poster, this was extremely informative to me.
The specfic crash report is bp-b61282f6-3ed0-45dd-ab3e-a4f8a0200123
I can not help you with that crash, not for lack of wanting, but because I actually know nothing.
The issue is being tracked here but cause and cure appear to be eluding the team at this time. Please read the discussion, and if you have anything additional that might help the process speak up. Bugzilla is not a place for "I have this to" type posts.
Reported this same issue earlier at: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1609389
