several issue.

1, what is the account provider? is it an oAuth authentication. In those the password is not actually stored or used.

2. Do you have a security product that contains some sort of password vault. Norton anti virus perhaps or last pass? they intercept passwords and make things rather difficult, especially as their target audience are the less technically skilled.
