I tried this twice, reinstalling a clean version of Firefox, but it still stalls out when scrolling and when it refreshes itself, all the text and pictures disappear. I have to manually refresh the screen each time and I lose the spot I was on.

Is this on many websites, some, a few? [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Start Firefox in Safe Mode] {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click '''Start In Safe Mode''' (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I think this issue is resolved - followed the directions thru safe mode, then continued on to inactivate acceleration. So far so good. Thanks so much!!
