I just upgraded to Thunderbird 60.3.3 (64-bit). Lost my contact address pane by clicking the "X" next to it. How can I restore it?
Looking at the new update, I went to compose an email. To the left of the pane of my drop down list of Personal Address Book, I clicked on the "X" to see what it would do. The pane disappeared, as I thought it might. Now, I cannot find a way to restore it for future email composing. What can I do to bring it back?
I have read the release notes and checked my settings & preferences and can't find a resolution.
Thank you very much!

Followed your tip - sorry, no dice. I'm on a Mac. Neither F9, Command F9, Option F9 nor Control F9 worked.
Did you hide the Directory Pane in Address Book? Re-enable it under View/Layout in Address Book; press Alt if the Menu Bar is hidden.
In Address Book - View/Layout - Both Directory and Contact Pane are checked. No change.
Also, overnight, v. 60.4 (64 bit) was updated automatically. I do not have Auto Update activated either.
Wish I could go back to v. 52.9.1 - my last stable version. I'm on a Mac.
- Contacts Sidebar Appeared**
I had to be in a "Write" page in order to have the option under View. Previous attempts were on the normal (default) page where I can Get Messages and have all my folders.
Thank you, various respondents! My issue appears to be resolved.
