I recently changed my laptop. I took a backup of the entire profile folder. In my new laptop, I deleted the entire contents of the new profile folder and pasted the contents from the old profile folder. This process works for me every time. However, this time my bookmarks are getting lost. Everything else is in place. Is there a method to manually restore only the bookmarks from my profile folder backup? I never took a manual backup of only bookmarks. Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I did see this article before posting my question. This does not address my situation. I need the name of the file in my profile folder which stores my bookmarks and how to recover them.

Your Bookmarks (and History) are stored in a single file, places.sqlite, in your Profile folder.

To open your Profile folder, Help > Troubleshooting Information , then next to "Profile Directory" click the "Open Containing Folder" button to open the Profile Folder.

Thanks mate. This information is certainly helpful but highly technical. The addon mentioned on the page does not work in latest Firefox. I just need a way to extract my saved bookmarks in sqlite file. Any help will be highly appreciated.
