I have been using thunderbird for my home emails but not for my gmail account . I recently had to give up my old computer so I had to move my thunderbird inbox folders from my old computer to a new one . I also moved my gmail to my new computer and have it under Thunderbird. I receive email messages from both accounts just fine but I can't send messages from my home email address only from the gmail address. A message pops up saying " Login to server smtp.fairpoint.net failed" and I am asked to enter new password. When I enter in my password, it won't take it . ANother window comes up when I cancel out saying" Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.fairpoint.net for an unknown reason . Please verify that your outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct" . How to proceed? THanks so much!
