Why does Firefox keep telling me I'm running an old version when I've updated 3 times this week & 'About FF' tells me I've got Ver 50.1.0?

I'm running Win7 SP1 on i5 CPU. Error message that FF can't tell which version. My home page, the Mozilla plug-in checker, tells me I'm using an old version. In 'About Firefox' it says I'm running 50.1.0. I've downloaded & updated 3 times this week but when it auto-loads after update I still get error message. Can't watch videos - some work, most don't. Error says something about it can't find any MIME files. In Facebook I get either a blank space or a black square. GIFFs & the occasional vid do work. I followed the " about.config" instructions but it made no difference. I had no problems with the previous version. The "Educated Guesses" I found below are wrong. I won't use 8.1 or 10 - 7 is way better for me.

hello, please try to refresh firefox and see if this can address the issue...

"Something" messed with your UserAgent in Firefox and it's telling websites that an older 36.04 version is being used. And that's not even a valid version of Firefox as it is missing a period between the 0 and the 4. 36.0.4 would be correct version number from March 21, 2015.

See this KB article to learn how to fix that. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-reset-default-user-agent-firefox

About FF tells me I'm running 50.1.0 & this is up to date, this was also the update version I tried to install (3 times). I don't understand why 51.0 is mentioned because that is not the update version you sent me.

Firefox 51.0 was released Tuesday Jan 24 as you can see at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/51.0/releasenotes/ and then updates to 51.0 was later disabled due to the Geolocation issue in which a 51.0.1 update is coming. The 50.1.0 is a old Release.

Can anybody explain this screenshot please. Also the 51.0.1 update has stuffed up my Quick Passwords add-on, I have dozens of passwords & no hope of remembering them all so this was an essential tool & FF has now made logging on to anything a major hassle. I still can't watch vids & still get that MIME extension error. It has gone from bad to worse & it seems like Mozilla has done a Microsoft & stuffed up a perfectly good program. Is it possible to de-grade back to version 49? I've found it is very much slower than previous versions too.
