I cannot print from a photo from my pictures folder because when I press Control and P there is no connection to my printer. The print page with all the details appears but nothing happens when I press Control and P.

Chosen solution

I assume you try to print photos when loaded in Firefox, of course.

Do you see the Print dialog appear after pressing Ctrl+P? If so, is there no OK button in it? If you were referring to the Print dialog by "the details" there should be one, and only after clicking OK it should start printing. Also, does the Print Preview option work, or does it cause unexpected results? (Use Alt+F to access the option.)

Since the behavior for both actions may vary, you could also try the following:

  1. Type about:config in Firefox’s location bar (address bar).
  2. Accept the warning/risk.
  3. Type print.print in the Find box.
  4. Double-click each bolded parameter starting with print.printer, if any (or right-click them and select Reset).
  5. Restart Firefox and retry.
