Firefox won't complete download, or install.
I have a year old NOC Windows PC, had Firefox 44.02 installed and had been using it for some time without trouble. I tried to update to 45.0: downloaded from website, clicked on "run" and it will start to install and then hangs forever. Then it says "your download was interrupted. click ok to continue". Then it says "Your download was interrupted. Click the download button on the right to continue." on your site.
I did this several times, always the same. Then I uninstalled firefox 44.02. and it still does the same thing. We have new adequately fast internet and other sites and uses exhibit no problems.
I also downloaded Norton today, paid version, before I tried to update. It found a TrojanGen.2. It also decided that one of the downloads from firefox was a high threat. I took screen grabs if you need them. I could send them to you, I don't want them posted on the internet .
Please help?
Thank you.

Try this:
- Download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
*https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
It is possible that security software (anti-virus, firewall) is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
Thank you. I tried that . I chose 64 bit version. That's what the system is. It says Firefox Setup 45.0 couldn't be downloaded. Can you advise? Thanks
Nevermind. I turned off Norton and that allowed download. Thanks!
