I have been using Mozilla Fire Fox as my favorite browser for over 10 years. Unfortunately since last few days when ever I open the Mozilla Fire Fox, I get a ver suspicious looking start page (http://search.myspeedtestxp.com/?uid=6319cb3e-9a1a-4119-bb5a-a055ad5745d2&uc=20151201&ap=pythondirect&source=&page=homepage&implementation_id=speedtest_0.0.1) I tried to reset the page as well as remove and reinstall the Mozilla but for some strange reasons the start page keeps coming back. As a last resort I have decided to remove Mozilla Fire fox for ever and never use it again as I am concerned about the security Risks. Thanks

Hi, unfortunately, sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
