I somehow lost my user profile in Windows 7 64. it doesn't come up when I try to switch users and I cannot log off the current user account as it is the only one on the pc now. But, when I go to the users folder in the c drive I can see my old profile and all its folders and files and programs yet I cannot find a way to get to log onto it. So... I just took all the files and put them on my new profile.. no problems now except... when I clicked on FF to see if the pc would connect to the internet, it was as if I had just downloaded it for the first time and all my book marks were gone. Could they all be still hidden someplace on my PC? like in the programs folder on the c drive? or are they just gone, erased somehow? I don't remember what I did but I was in safe mode and I think I clicked on create a home group or workgroup and the pc looked like it was downloading something. now my old profile is locked away and this new one is in its place, everything is the same except for fire fox and my bookmarks. Also Note* I am on my new work PC here at work, the pc in question is my old work pc, at home at my house. Thanks!

Actually, I fixed it myself last night. I found all my old Fire Fox files and my Bookmarks were there so I was able to import them over to my new profile.

I used a little Windows search tool I downloaded awhile ago its called "Search Everything" and I typed in "Mozilla" and it pulled up everything Mozilla on my pc, I then clicked through the files till I found the one with the backed up Book marks in it. I then copy and pasted the file path to the folder into the fire fox book marks import screen and hit ok and boom, there they were. I then made a copy of this info and put it in a folder on my desk top in case this ever happens again I wont have my wife calling me at work at 7:30 AM asking where her book marks are lol!
