facebook home page (newsfeed) loads fine at first but when i proceed to scroll down at some point (after a few posts) it refuses to load further posts as if the connection timed out and i have to refresh the page but the problem keeps happening .

the problem occurs with recent various versions of FF. i have tried it on a different computer i have cleared the cache and cookies i didn't reset but i used FF with no add-ons it is still there the problem doesn't occur using other browsers on the same internet connection

please help , thank you

The most basic solution is to replace the http:// at the start of the URL with https:// however this is time-consuming and can become irritating as you will have to do it for every page. Instead you will need to update the latest version of your firefox browser as it is likely it has become corrupt.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.

now i don't think it's a problem with firefox i think it's an indication to a problem with the ISP i contacted my isp but they can't identify the problem :(

note : my ISP uses mikrotik servers ... anyone have any idea what's wrong ?

Did you at least give it a try and try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode?

Is the same security software installed on all computers where you tried this?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

i tried to boot the computer in windows safe mode and the same problem occurs now i know for sure it's the internet connection (ISP) the problem happens using different profiles on different machines that have different but recent versions of firefox (and different security software)
