Have 5 different email addresses, these are all forwarded to my gmail address

When I reply to an email, I select the email address (1 of the 5) send send the emails from.

But if I forget, I do not want my gmail address to be able to send outgoing emails

So how do I disable the SMTP sending of emails from my gmail account in Thunderbird

(in other words, how to make a fake SMTP account that doesn't work or make sure that the if I try to send an email using my gmail account, it pops up as an error)

Thank you!

Reed

Put some erroneous values in for the server address, or port, or connection security.

But rather more tidy, IMHO, would be to use an add-on that selects the identity automatically, or one that forces you to choose an identity, when sending.
