I have just downloaded Thunderbird and have setup the my email addresses but as I have 4 personal email address it dose not accept them all. Also our mail In has to go to mail.wanderer.com.au and mail out has to go to mail.amnet.net.au is this a problem? Thunderbird has allowed me to setup 3 of my email addresses but not the icloud address? Also when i try to check for mail it comes up with a message: Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server mail.wanderer.com.au responded: Authentication failed. Can you please help?

No limits Beverly, I have about 20 and I have heard or web developers with hundreds.

We have issues within issues here.

your domain is not correct configured or at least your mail server is not. see http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools#dnsReport|type=domain&&value=wanderer.com.au

Your host will have provided port and ssl information for the server, but is your firewall configured to allow thunderbird access to the internet. You will need to check your firewall and and firewall component in your anti virus program to ensure Thunderbird has full access to the internet. (Unfortunately it is a common problem we have no control over). For the moment it may also be prudent to disable email scanning in your anti virus program. While it may be useful latter, it may simply be getting in the way at the moment.

Who is your hosting provider?
