Hi,

my firefox crashed after a half of the year usage. My sessionstore.bak size is ~100Mb. After crash everything was lost - there was no option to restore tabs after restart of ff.

The file sessionstore.bak contains data from previous crashes which I didnt restore. So there is proper data in the hierarchy from previous crashes and sure - from the last one.

I created new profile and put the sessionstore.bak as sessionstore.js into profile directory, started ff but nothing happened.

My question is - how can I restore whole ~100Mb history in the ff. If its impossible ;/ how could I easy parse this json to get only ulrs of open tabs and tabs from previous crashes. I dont need history of each tab, dont need urls of closed tabs... I cant find any useful parser.

The best should be to ff parse it and let me restore it as it did before.

Thanks for any advice!

Best, John

Did you check for History > Recently Closed Tabs/Windows ?

There are some methods in the mozillaZine thread to extract links.
