Did you choose to remove personal data while uninstalling the Firefox 5 (Aurora) version?
If you did then all your Firefox profiles have been removed.

I guess you still have your old profile in your PC, please read this article to recover data from your old profile:

I guess i did. Man they should have made it a separate thing from firefox 4. Instead of having it share the same profile. :(
You can try to recover the Firefox Profile Folder and its files with an undelete utility like Recuva.
This really pisses me off. I had FIREFOX open while I uninstalled AURORA, was never prompted to close my FIREFOX window during the uninstall, and AURORA uninstalled successfully. When I subsequently closed FIREFOX and reopened it all of my bookmarks, history, password, etc were gone. Nice work Mozilla.

I hate to say this. The rule is to backup, then backup again. Before uninstalling Aurora, I backed up the links to a separate folder. I had also run Mozilla Backup, which showed my Firefox information. Aurora seemed to have replaced Firefox on my computer. However, everything was there when I reinstalled Firefox.
Not sure, but I think that Ashampoo has a utility for file recovery even after it's been deleted from your wastebasket. Ashampoo allows you to use the full version of their programs for 30 days before you have to buy it.
@amarzi, AURORA does not delete your Profile stuff unless you on purpose checked [v] the Remove personal data while uninstalling Aurora.

I had this same crap just happen! It's BULL because I removed "Aurora"; I never removed Firefox! I had both versions on my PC and only removed the one, so obviously I didn't think when I removed the "Aurora" data it would effect my Firefox data! Why the hell would the file from my remaining version be removed? What kind of bull is that? It went into my "Firefox" file and deleted it? As a result, all of my bookmarks, history, password, etc were gone! Thanks a lot Firefox....jerks!
If you remove personal data with uninstalling then all Firefox profiles will be removed, so you should be careful with selecting that.
You can try an undelete utility like Recuva to restore that folder.
Luckily for me Windows System Restore worked, I hope this might help someone who's been victim of this stupidity from Firefox. (Be warned! Restore might affect other applications and/or changes in your system).
This is just f'in ridiculous, I really tried to be a loyal and proudly Firefox user, tried to promote ffx to other people and help with feedback, this time with Aurora, and when I uninstalled it, it vanished my profile, so stupid.
However I wish you good luck ffx!
It was user error not a problem with Firefox. Firefox does not delete your Profile stuff unless you on purpose checked [v] the Remove personal data while uninstalling Firefox on Windows.
Yes I know you said Aurora as that is the name of one of the development channels where Firefox 11.0.a2 is currently on and being tested.

@James, literally you are right, however I think we all know here what we mean when we say Aurora removed personal data, as Thoughtwave mentioned above I also had Aurora and Firefox installed, never thought they use the same profile folder. I don't want to go into details but it's interesting the fact that while uninstalling Aurora I had Firefox running and didn't give me any warning, beside this the check-box you were referring was clearly saying Aurora settings ... I know it's user's choice but this obviously is not a user friendly choice.

Sorry you had that problem, happened to me too when that feature for removing "all Firefox personal data and customizations" was added to Firefox development versions almost 4 years ago. I immediately filed a Bug report about that issue, and was told by the developers that it was intended to work that way. The wording of that message was changed a bit before that feature was actually released, but IMO it should say that every bit of personal data for every version of Firefox that you may have installed will be deleted, not only the version you are currently uninstalling.
Regardless of the "branding" or release level - Beta, Aurora, Nightly, or Firefox, to the Profile Manager inside Firefox it doesn't make a difference - they're all known as Firefox and the purpose of that feature is to remove everything related to Firefox.
