Something has gotten messed up with the way FireFox is displaying **some** web sites. I will address one problem here: Some - but not all - web sites load up and appear left-justified on the screen. I don't see any way to center it. URL listed below is just one example.

It is how the site is currently coded.

Put the following code in userContent.css or use Stylish

@-moz-document domain(www.intellicast.com){
body {background-position: center center !important;}
#content {margin-left: auto !important; margin-right: auto !important;}
}

Until yesterday, it displayed correctly. My wife used my computer, "did something," and now **some** web sites are left justified. www.washingtonpost.com does it as well. I believe this is something either in my firefox or windows xp settings... It may also be related to the fact that these web sites only take up part of the screen width, whereas before it used all of my 1680x1250 screen. So, anyone have any other suggestions?

Those two pages show to me left justified as well, so if that didn't happen before then you must have zoomed those page (View > Zoom).

See Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages and Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages

Hi! Excuse me for digging up this thread, but I've been searching for this for 48hrs or more (didn't put the right key-words, it seems)

As for the thread-starter, *some* web sites appear left-justified on my machine. at first I thought it was Firefox-only, but then I noticed that IE (7 and 8) had the same behaviour! For me it started after I reinstalled my WXP on new hardware . (I *think* it only started with the new hard-drive, changed after previous testing of the MB/CPU/RAM/GC with an older HDD)

Thing is: at the very beginning, I first noticed Firefox wouldn't cope with Facebook "applets" (chat, feed notifications, inbox...) I did several reinstalls of XP since that, and par tof the problems were solved, still pages like www.facebook.com or www.lemonde.fr keep showing up all the way to the left, eventually leaving blank space to the right. I don't understand why it's just on *some* pages.

Additionnal info: I've updated all my drivers, and software, several times, in different orders, online and offline; tried IE, Ffx bare-boned (clean new install) even uninstalling any java, flash or whatever else from XP. The only way to display the concerned pages properly was using Firefox from within an Ubuntu Live-cd (then I even found that pages appeared too small, as in Ubuntu the resolution seemed different, fonts and all were smaller...)

Any hints? pleeease?
