Firefox v.s Windows Multiple Desktops
I use multiple desktops on Windows 10; usually between two and four at a time. Each of those desktops has multiple Firefox windows open.
Whenever I restart my computer (which is not often but it happens) Firefox restores all the previously opened windows onto a single desktop, leaving me to sort out the mess. Firefox also re-opens windows/tabs recently stashed using the Tab Stash extension.
Is there anything I can do to make sure Firefox remembers which windows belongs on which desktop, and to keep stashed windows closed?

Anyone?
Have you tried experimenting with Firefox's right-click menu options in the Task View screen (win+tab)?

Seems like the same menu that appears on any window thumbnail in that view.
The problem is not that I cannot move Firefox windows to my preferred desktop. The problem is that whenever Firefox restarts it forgets where each window was and dumps them all on a single desktop.
In Task View are the Firefox right-click menu options "Show this window on all desktops" and "Show windows from this app on all desktops" checked or unchecked?
Both unchecked.
If I look at the Stash page on AMO and go to its GitHub page then I notice that its creator has been trying to restore windows as stashed with Stash 3.0, but doesn't seem to get this work properly as 3.0 hasn't been made available on AMO, so I'm not sure whether he is still actively working on the extension.
My thought was that you could try experimenting with these options being individually or both checked / unchecked, to see if this causes Windows to remember the virtual desktop states for Firefox windows across sessions.
But if that doesn't work you could try filing a bug report at: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org

I'll play around with it and report back.

I've played around with this feature, now. It works as intended and has no effect on the original issue I posted.

Surely I'm not the only one experiencing this...?

This is a different extension. I'm using Tab Stash: https://josh-berry.github.io/tab-stash/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-stash/

I just posted a reply here to cor-el here it vanished immediately after I posted. Then I posted it a second time and it, too, vanished. Not sure what is happening.
I included external links in my reply so maybe that's triggering some kind of mod review? I didn't see any notifications to that end.
