I want to have the Enabled Filters that I have created in Message Filters all use a different folder to filter on. I'm closing an email account that I have about 200 messages being filtered and want to direct all these filters to a new account/folder. Can I do that without having to move them individually to the new folder I want to filter to?

Thanks, Dwight

Filters are defined for each account and are stored in the msgFilterRules.dat file. Help/More Troubleshooting, Profile folder, Open Folder, close TB, open Mail/<popservername> or ImapMail/<imapservername>. The dat file can be copied between accounts. After doing so, check that the folders and actions in the filter still apply to the new account.

Hello there dsmc We have read your message. We try to help you.

Filters are something on a point they can be worthless. Using them as or with Imap’s it’s possible that they come on the internet. Some options then has no value. But Filters still doing there work if you have configurate them on your pc. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters

It worked. I see the enabled filter for the new address. I have not checked to see if the folders and actions in the filter still apply to the new account yet. Have not directed others to use the new address yet. Thank you
