A blue background is covering my minimize, maximize, and close window buttons. I can still see a sliver of the close window button, but just barely; the buttons still work as well, they are just blocked visually. I don't have any add-ons, its not in tablet mode, and it still shows up when I run FF in safe mode. Any help here?

HI that looks like it is part of Win7 where it picks up a colour for the programs and frames them with it as it also looks a little transparent.

Some add-ons have been known to hide those buttons. But since you have tried Safe Mode already please try : to see if some how you are in Tablet Mode. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/how-do-i-turn-off-tablet-pc/6e7aa1a3-737b-4cbb-9f2e-32a370c01175

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi greasybear,

Would you take a look at this article, and start with the section :

Switch to the default theme

Does that make them reappear  ?
