Yes, the Location bar setting is set to "History and Bookmarks". Yes, I have tried safe mode without any success.

Are there any other troubleshooting methods? Only like 2-3 websites show up and they never change. Auto-complete seems to work just fine, and my history is being recorded correctly if I hit CTRL-H.

I resolved the problem by performing the following steps:

1) Uninstall Firefox completely. 2) Install Chrome. 3) Forget Firefox exists and move on with your life.

Maybe . . .

In the search window, click on the 'down' pointer next to the active search engine's logo; go to 'Manage search engines'; check the box 'Show search suggestions'

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was already checked and the problem was not in the search bar. Re-checking/etc had no effect on my issue.

Hi Celeras,

Very strange!

You might have some Extensions which could be affecting your Awesomebar. For example, the DuckDuckGo addon will replace your history and bookmarks with search results instead. Could you please click the New Fx Menu button, click addons, and once the Addon Manager has loaded, click Extensions? This will show you a full list of the extensions you've got installed - could you please let us know what they are?

If it's not an extension causing it, then it would be worth resetting FIrefox. Resetting will give you a fresh start and should solve the problem. All your cookies, history, bookmarks and saved passwords will be kept.

Hope this helps,

Jayelbe

I have no extensions.

I clicked your resetting Firefox link, and my "troubleshooting information" page does not have a button to reset Firefox. I have copy raw data to clipboard, Copy text to clipboard, show update history, and show folder. That's it, the rest is table data.
